OEM Head Unit CD error

I have a 6 disc in dash head unit. I just took it out and unplugged the harness to do a few things behind the dash. I didn't take any cds out. I slightly bumped the unit on the console after I unplugged the harnesses. Put everything back in and now I get a CD ERROR message and it will not play CDs or eject them. How can I fix this?

I still need help on this. I've done everything possible to reset my radio to no avail. I even left it disconnected over night and still nothing. How can I fix this?

Hey Dude....used to get that with my Windstar. The cd is stuck. try hitting eject and slide a piece of thin cardboard with in the cd slot. Wonder if you are using a burnt cd?

I fixed it. I took the case apart to get my CDs (no burnt ones) out and discovered that the center piece that grabs the CDs has fallen from its shaft. I put it back on and it works fine.
