Ipod Video Playback on Clarion MAX

All,
I have come upon an issue and I hope that you all can offer assistance. I just purchased an Ipod Nano in order to play videos through my Clarion AMX675VD Head Unit that I have installed in my truck. I was told that all I need to do is install the Clarion Video Ipod Cable(P/N CCA-673) but the installer says that my iPod is not compatible with my headunit using this cable. I have read some people on here using their iPods with their head Units. Any inputs?
