Need a decent HU. Suggestions?

I am looking to replace my am/fm radio with a new CD player. I considered just getting an OEM unit off of ebay cause I like the factory look and dont need anything too fancy but have heard of programming problems and HU failures. Now I am looking for an aftermarket unit. I like the double din units but thats not a must. Have always had good luck in the past with Pioneer and Alpine but am open to others. Need something Ipod compatible and would like to try to stay under the $300 mark. Been looking at these.

Pioneer

Kenwood

JVC

Any other suggestions?

Thanks!

Being a recent victom of a break in, I am going to go with something with less WOW factor to it.

So I am going with the Alpine IDA-X100, no CD but full IPOD.

I don't need a CD player, my IPOD is my CD player.

I did look at the first Pioneer but I've had bad luck with grounding issues in the past so I am staying with Alpine.

Best of luck, let us know what you get!
