kenwood head unit question

hey i have never purchased anything as far as audio for my truck but i was looking at getting a touch screen head unit. i went and looked a the kenwood DDX 512.. i can get it for about 420 installed. i was also looking at a pioneer 4000 (not sure the specific name) Is one better than the other or would you guys recommend something better.

Thanks guys

the pioneer one is the AVH-P4000DVD which i have installed in my 2007 F150 it has allot of features (Touchscreen, Bluetooth, bluetooth audio, XM and or Sirus, DVD's Ipod, USB, back up camera ready, HD Radio ready , 4volt preamps its also dims when your healights headlights, you can customize the illumination) he AVH-P4000DVD is a ncie haed unit if you do not want Navigation the one thing that i did not like was that it only have two sets of preamps outs with the rear being fullrange or Subwoofer which rly is not a con to me becasue my rear speakers are staying stock.

But it looks like the Kenwood its the same way with the Preamps
really the only differance is that on the kenwood DDX512 you can have custom startup backgrounds and it has Navi they both are 6.1" touchscreens same amount of Audio in and out

but if you want the Navi go for the Keenwood if you dont care for the Navi i would go for the Pioneer

hope this helps

Is this going to be the starting block for a sound system? If so spend a bit more and get a solid headunit with all the preamp outputs. Front left/right, rear left/right, subs.
