Pioneer CD-SB10 and Sirius SC-C1

Does anyone have experience with these?

I ordered a Pioneer D3 but hate that Sirius radio only displayed one line of text at a time. Has anyone used this new CD-SB10 with a Pioneer head unit yet and can tell me what it displays? Thanks!

I can't believe no one has experimented with this yet. I figured Low would have some input if no one else! I ordered one and if anyone is interested I'll let you know what displays using the new CD-SB10...

I have heard of the new Sirius universal boxes. But I have yet to get to play with one.

Please let me know what you think and take a few pics and email or post them, so I can see how everything works. Also, if you dont mind take pics of the connectors/pins.

Will do. The D3 kit from Crutchfield arrived today (I couldn't resist at that price and their service) and the SC-C1/CD-SB10 will be delivered Wednesday. I typically spend more time taking pics than working when I do projects so that's no problem.

Hey Low e, per your request the link below contains detailed pics of the CD-SB10. I'll add install pics of the entire system and impressions of the new Sirius box after installation this weekend. Hopefully these pics give you what you wanted, if not just let me know. Hope you have broadband...

Good news bad news story. Good News: The system is in and other than being a time consuming project, it went pretty much without a hitch. Bad News: The new CD-SB10 Sirius bus adapter when used with the SC-C1 universal Sirius tuner still has the same crappy display. Single line of text that scrolls. Nothing more. The new tuner does have the memo feature to save favorite songs and Game Alert, but just the single line.

I'll have more details, pics, etc in the next day or two but figured I'd answer the key question now.

The SIR-PNR2 had the ability to store favorite songs and Game Alert.

So basically Pioneer just removed the receiver from the PNR2 and makes you buy the standalone receiver from Sirius. That really ticks me off but it is what it is. Hopefully once the merger is complete and they start channels I'll be able to get NFL and NASCAR on XM. Then I'll buy an XM tuner and enjoy the stellar interface XMs have now..
