Stock single CD player mp3 compatible?

Just wondered if the stock single CD player was MP3 compatible? It mentions specifically that the 6 disc changer is, but doesnt say whether the single cd is.

Thanks

if you look at the slot where the CD goes in it should say mp3 above or below the middle of the slot. another way you can tell is some CDs will display the words when played. Or just put an mp3 cd in it and see if it works. the ford cd players are junk IMHO. i have the 6 disk mp3 and it always spits cds back out at you even if they are brand new. and it takes about 20 min of putting the CD in again and again to get it to work. i would just spend the money and get a decent aftermarket one. good luck!
