Kenwood DDX7017 rear-view camera install?

Anyone installed a rear-view camera on a Supercrew? I just order my camera from Crutchfield and I'm wanting to install it myself, but Crutchfield only sent instructions for general video installs, headrest monitors, roof monitors, etc. Nothing about installing the rear-view camera.

I've tried to do a little research and I think I should take the signal line up through the left side of the truck, but I wanted to ask before I get started to see if anyone had any advice or tips or things to not do.
