Reviews on the LC6

Anyone have any experience with the AudioControl LC6? I did some searching on the forums but didn't find much.

So if I'm not trying to build an award winning system then the LC6 would be ok to use instead of the Cleansweep?

I like the LC6 better than I did the Cleansweep. (I only had 5 min with each.) I really wish I could help more.

It made a huge difference

When i initially had my amp and speakers installed i had a shop do the work and they used the cheap line level converters. I was never really happy with the sound so i decided to upgrade my amplifier and cabling because the installer had sold me on Eclipse and i thought maybe i had made a mistake. I installed an alpine 4.100 pbx with very little differencre in quality. I got on ebay and bought and lc6i and installed it following the manufacturers instructions for setting it up.

Immediately upon turning the system on i noticed a significant improvement in sound quality and volume levels i could get to without distortion. I then replaced the alpine with the Eclipse amp for my own curiousity and was really not that suprised to find out it too sounded significantly better.

I would buy it again in a heartbeat although i think i would use an authorized reseller next time, because i would prefer to have someone that works with this stuff every day tune it for me. The only bad thing is now that i have much better sound i have purchased some alpine x series pro components amd an image dynamics sub with a q-logic box to see if i can take it to the next level, so that damn thing is costing me more money................lol

Buy it you won't be disappointed IMHO

ea4000, i had bought an xa4000 initially but for some reason it gave me a nasty alternator whine(we tried three) and eventually settled on the ea4000. I am actually quite happy with this amp now and plan to keep running it on the components and keep my 4.100 for the subs.
