I really wasnt impressed at all with the DNX7100. Matter of fact, I HATED IT. The menus are the worst!

I love my DNX7100!!
It does take a while to get use to the menus I agree. I guess it depends on the person and there memory.

It has so many neat features and the GPS rocks!! However they do makes some nice units so research them all and decide whats best for you and your budget!!

Good LucK!

Im also looking at this unit & after all the reading I have done Im leaning toward the Kenwood. I have read the menu take awhile getting use to, but for the most part its a well liked unit. Ive always been happy with Kenwood products.

I've been leaning towards this unit too, I went out this weekend to my local car audio shop and played with it for about 30 minutes. The menus take a little getting used to, but like I read in one thread on here...You aren't going to access half of those menus after the first week once you have everything set up so it really wouldn't be that bad.

Don't listen to Low_e_Red on this one. I've noticed that he absolutly bashes anything that isn't listed in his signature (Pioneer, JL Audio, Viper) Although I had a Pioneer Z1 before I got the Kenwood and I won't bash it but I dumped it for the Kenwood and have NEVER regretted it.

The Kenwood absolutely rocks. I have the Excellon 8019 in my truck with the add-on nav and my wife has the DNX7100 in hers. I love the simplicity of the Garmin navigation interface. Everyone complains about the actual radio interface but once you get to know it you will learn to love it. No different than getting a new cell phone or trying to learn how to preset a record on a VCR or DVD-R. You gotta learn what you got. For the price you get more bang for the buck in my oppinion. I purchased both my units from Travis at www.kcautosound.com. His prices are higher than the cheap competitors but you get a guy that STANDS BEHIND HIS PRODUCT!" Be it warranty or whatever. Don't go by his prices on the site. If he can get you a better deal he will and if he can't he'll point you in the right place to purchase it.

You will have to purchase a kenwood sirius tuner. Sirius now has a 2 piece set up. part one is the tuner (model SCH something) and then the converter made special for your HU brand. Total only about 100 bucks.

Travis did say that you can use your Sirius antenna with some simple modding.

I agree...

I have the DNX7100 and have to say I like it alot and have gotten MANY compliments on looks and all the features. However, I cannot compare it to others as this is the first DVD/NAV system I have owned.

I have the DNX7100 also. I love it! The Ipod interface can't be beat and the nav is through garmin - enough said!

Before I got mine this christmas I went to crutchfields website and just read all the different reviews on all the nav units, it helped me decide.
