Has anyone heard of this problem?

I bought a P.I.E. FRD04-Aux input converter and a P.I.E. Uni-Pod auxiliary iPOD interface for my 04 xlt stock head unit to connect my IPOD directly to my radio. I was told by installer at bby that these devices have alot of problems in that they tend to disconnect. Has anyone ever heard of this problem before or had it happen to them?
Thanks in advance for any input..

Is it the ipod interface or the aux input converted having the problem. I just got my PIE aux converter for my truck, hopefully I wont have a problem.
