Stock Head Unit w/ Nav

I have the Navigation touch screen head unit in my truck.

Imnot sure how this unit works. Is the navigation built into the head unit? or is it a seperate box that is connected to the unit?

If i was to get a stronger Head unit with touch screen that can hook up to a navigation system will that work?

I changed all the door speakers to Sound Wave 6.5" all around with 200 watts running off a Crunch 1000 watt amp and another 2 10" pioneer shallow case speakers in a box under the rear seat running off another 1200 watt Crunch amp.

the door speakers have blown 2 hi/lo converters and im thinking of chaning the stock head unit for it to sound better.

What can be done with the navigation function?

The Nav unit is a seperate piece.

NO if you change the factory HU your nav won't work.

Look into Alpines V-HUB Pro
This will give you the features of an aftermarket HU like better sound etc. But allow you to keep your HU and Nav!!

It works much like the JL Audio clean sweap but in my opinion better!
