Ok guys, here's the deal. My new to me IVA-W200 doesn't have any sound output. This just started yesterday, and only seems to happen when the temperature is below 60*. It will beep and all of that fun stuff, but no sound from the speakers, no matter what mode it is in (Sirius, Radio, DVD, etc). It is NOT a wiring issue. All wiring has been triple checked. Factory headunit works when put in place of this unit. Any suggestions on what to do? I'm in a bit of a pickle here... The unit was purchased online less than a year ago, but apparently the only "authorized" online dealer from Alpine is Crutchfield. Anybody wanna work up a deal and share a receipt?

Sounds like you bought a busted HU. I have the same one and it works fine. Granted my back drivers side speaker doesnt work, but i'd blame the wiring for that one. I just haven't had time to fix it; aka too lazy to take my deck out, it looks so pretty. Maybe you bought a crappy wiring harness(i cant remember what they're called off the top of my head) to plug your deck into. Try plugging in the wiring harness and use a volt metre to see if you're getting any power through the harness.
Whats odd is some of the Alpine's beeps come through the spks. Do you have the amp defeat on? Is the mute wire touching 12v+/Gnd? Can you post pics of wiring/menus?
I might be able to help with the reciept. Need to talk to you abt it and all.

Alpine's beep comes through the unit. The mute wire is capped off. No settings have been changed from the last time it was working. There is a new ground pop sound that comes through the speakers when I turn the truck on, I've discovered.
Guess I should add, it's about 75 - 80 right now and the radio is working... No settings have been changed, nothing has been changed since last night when it didn't work...

Sounds like your amp out wire (remote turn on ) is dead- did you check it with a multi meter?

I bet it's a coincidence...have you checked your speakers? use a meter to check that you're not getting a grounded speaker. check it at the HU when it's not working, and check your speaker wires or terminals to make sure they aren't rubbing on anything..oh I guess I should add that if one speaker is grounded then all the sound gets cut out. If you find a grounded speaker wire, check if it's coming FROM the HU. it's possible that the HU is the source of that noise/grounded wire when you turn it on..s**t happens

It's not the speakers. The speakers are working fine right now with the stocker headunit in.
