Looking at purchasing this hu and wondering if anyone has one or has any opinions or a comparable hu I should look at instead with similar pricing and features. Thanks

I am partial to Alpine. cda-9885 is what I purchased. Here is a link to it on crutchfield. Always a good place to compare.

hope you enjoy!

i have the pioneer premier 4900iB and i absolutely love it. ipod navigation is so simple, and sounds quality is much better then stock. bass control and signal is impeccable too.

IMO usb capability is the hottest things to have on a stereo, thumdrives can be hooked up to it, almost ANY mp3 player that utilizes a usb! Pioneer has a good thing going on having the USB connection come out the back instead of the front like the current sony with usb, and the older JVC. JVC has a new usb integrated HU you should take a look at as well

I have the 5900, and I love it. Its not a premier, but its still awesome. The only downside is there is no return function on the ipod controls, but I have hundreds of artists on my ipod, so I organize all my music into playlists anyway. But other then that, I love it. In my opinion, they have a much better look then this years alpine. If I could, I would have gotten and Alpine 9856, one of the best decks ive ever been around. The pioneer comes with a silver trim ring, and since I work in the industry, I had access to a black one, so I swapped them out. Makes a world of difference.
