Dash install kit question

I just had a Pioneer AVIC-D3 installed in my 07 Lariat SCREW. It fits great at the bottom, but at the top it is in like 1/8 of an inch. I was wondering if the shop may have used a kit from an earlier year. I have read that the earlier dash has to be shaved down to fit the 07 radio, so it just made sense to me that they make a 07-08 only kit. If anyone can help I would appreciate it.
Thanks,
Josh

JOSHREED...how do you like that deck? I was thinking of getting that one for my '04. I think Crutchfield has it on sale and is offering a free rear camera with the purchase. Let me know how you like it so far...I'm going to add headrest monitors, too, for the kiddos in the back and want to control it from the head unit.

Yeah those are sweet but $$$.

To answer your question I would have to say take it back to the installer and ask (tell) them.

Good luck either way...
