2005 single cd to 6 disk?

My dad has a 2005 F150 with the single cd player. He wants to keep the factory look, so he wants to get the 6 disk HU (Ebay!) After being in my truck (2005 F250) with the 6 disk HU, he wants it more!

My question is this: Can it be done? We looked at the back of his unit and it only has 1 connector and the Ebay units have 2 connectors. I have the controls on the wheel and he does not!

Any help?

Thanks!

Yes, it is possible. Almost all head units are not 100% backwards compatable with a single connector wiring harness as found in your Father's truck. But, all of the power inputs and speaker outputs are contained on the large rectangular connector. The smaller connector on higher end stereo units are for speed volume control and other nit-noid functions. Check the stereo wiring harness behind the dash as the extra small connector for these functions is often just taped to the side of the stereo harness (late models).
