Installing head unit & EQ ?'s

I have a 04 F150 supercab.
My question is regarding the mounting kit.
I have an ISO DIN head unit and want to add a seperate EQ that is half the DIN size& same width.
If I order the mounting kit will it have a piece of plastic to cover the gap?
I know without the EQ it will have a storage tray.
The reason I need the EQ is to add a seperate Sub volume. I do not want to upgrade deck and EQ is available.
Thank you

What kind of radio is it. Most ISODIN are also a regular DIN mount. You could by the kit and open it up and mount it in the pocket.

I may have worded wrong.

I'm sorry, the size is regular DIN on the head unit. It's a JVC.

My question is regarding the Mounting kit itself.

The kit will take the cd player I know, and then it has a storage tray underneath it. In place of the storage I want to put a EQ, the EQ is the same width as the head unit but half the size. I think the EQ has a 1 inch face, that's what I meant by 1/2 DIN size.

ok, and here is my question.

Once I mount the EQ will there be a provided piece of plastic so I don't have a 1 inch gap between my EQ and dash since I'm not using the storage tray?

I sent and email to the seller but they do not know.
I was wondering if anyone on here has mounted theirs and knows what extra plastic pieces come in the kits.

Hope this clears things up

thankyou

Why not just add a PAC LC1 volume control knob. It has RCA inputs and RCA outputs.

Part Number: LC-1
A pre-amp stereo remote level controller. Mountable in dash or under dash. The LC-1 allows you to add subwoofer level controls to any head unit.

sweet, I thought those only came with certin amps.
I didn't know you could add one, or I would have.
I already ordered the EQ and mounting kit with storage sleeve. I'm sure I can make it fit somehow.

So does anyone know?
How many of you have the mounting kit with storage tray/slot?
do you happen to remember if it came with any alternate attatchments to use instead of the storage tray?
Does anyone have the package laying around, and could maybe look in and see what's leftover?
I'd really appreciate it.
