Question about wiring new head unit

I'm a relative novice when it comes to this stuff. However, I am tackling installing my new Kenwood KDC-X891 Head Unit myself. I've purchased the Metra wiring harness and soldered everything together. I've removed the trim panel and factory head unit. Now, I am assuming I have to remove the factory wires for the head unit, and plug my new head unit harness into the main truck harness. I'm having difficulty locating where those wires lead and where I should go to remove them.

Any help you guys could give would be more than appreciated.

You dont remove anything. You plug one end into the new HU, and the plug the other end into the factory harness.

Well then I've got the wrong harness . . . because the plugs on this one are long thinner rectangles . . . and obv the ones on the factory harness are thicker.

Do you have the correct harness part number? It sounds like the one I need.

Thanks.
