Question help with headunit remote!!!!

ok i just installed my pioneer DEH-7700 head unit and it sat for a bit but everyhitng works great but the remote it is dead i guess since it doesnt work lol so i thought it was the battery but i cant figure out how to get it out to replace it, there is a little thing on the bottom of it but i cant figure out how it works lol so please help! thanks!

when the control is new, it has a clear plastic inside with the battery that doesnt let the + side of the battery make contact and thats why it wont work. they do this to protect the battery and so that it doesnt uncharge.

ya but i have had it for awhile and it worked when it was in my other truck.
