Aftermarket HU.... Factory sub

I have a 07 FX4 with the factory audiofile system. How do you get the factory sub to still work with the avn-5435 head unit? I hooked up the RCA's provided in the 07 harness. I noticed there are 2 ''amp turn on'' wires next to the RCA's in that harness. Do I have to hook these up to anything to get this sub to work?

Yes, you will need to hook up these cables. I'm surprised you're getting sound at all. After installing a new head unit into my '97 Expedition with the Mach Sound System, I had to hook up two seperate amp remote lines to the constant 12v power send. One for my aftermarket subs, and the other for the seperate powered speakers that were stock with the truck. In the wiring this is either labeled as "amp remote" (or something else abbreviated along those lines) or "power antenna".

Thanks for the reply. I hooked up the wires and everything works fine except I was getting a loud popping noise coming from the sub when I turned on the truck. I found out the you need to put a 5 volt resistor in line with the amp turn on.
