Changing head Unit

Could anyone tell me if the cd changers/mp3 head units in an 05 F150 have a specific code or PIN code needed. I bought one to replace my single cd. Also, any help in dash removal would be appreciated. I would also like to use the aux function for an ipod. Anyone done the Ipod2Car Mod? Thanks

The F-150 Head Units do not require a pin. The Head Unit from the Freestyle, 500, Montego and Mustang require Programmable Module Installation (PMI).

As for removal of the HU, just pop off the dash bezzle surrounding the stereo and unbolt the old HU.

To use the AUX function, you must not have the factory video entertainment system. Typically, you need an AUX adapter such as the PIE FRD04-AUX. The AUX adapters can be finiky. The newer factory HU's have front panel ipod inputs.
