Al & Ed's Sale IVA-W200

FYI for everyone, Al & Ed's is having a 50% off all in stock items sale this weekend. I just picked up an Alpine IVA-W200 for $700 installed. Killer deal if you ask me. Just thought I'd spred the word in case someone didn't hear about this.

I'm in southern California. Right now I am running the stock speakers as I have some Rainbows I want for Christmas and dont ant to buy something for a month and then switch out. I bought the HU for 500 dollars- 50% off the MSRP of $1000. The install and adapter, parking brake bypass, and iPod hookup was 200. Im happy with it overall. I want to add the blackbird nav system in the future. I also picked up a amp at a different store due to the fact it is one item per costumer per store. Great sale!

Al and Eds

I have been running all over SoCal (via phone) setting up my purchases for the 25th and 26th. It is good deal but there is always that BUT.

1. 50% off of 1 item only. Like my wife said "it does not mean we cant go to other stores and buy 1 item at each
2. If they dont have it in stock but they do carry it, 50% off msrp and it will be in on Tuesday
3.They have to install it and they charge circuit city/best buy rates
4.They are a good company in biz since 1956

So I'm going with one of these
Alpine PDX 4.150 =$350, Monster amp kit, install and tax about $550
or
JL 500/5 = $450 Monster amp kit, install and tax about $660

Wife will get the BlackBird GPS at one location that has it in stock. $300 total

I would go with the JL man. I have a JL 450/4 and it's pretty solid.

Anyone know if there is a way to bypass the safety feature on the w200 so you can view DVDs while in motion? I tried searching with no luck

Heh, thanks...thanks a lot! Now I have another $100 of crap to tack onto the list lol.

Hope Al and Ed's doesn't try to jerk me around on the accessories to make their money. Think it would be fair for me to tell them I would add those accessories for a total of $90 ? Do you know what they charged you? (I am refering to the two PAC units for the steering wheel and the bypass)

You guys getting or have the W200...you SHOULD really consider getting a PXA-H701. Especially, if you can get it for half off.

You'll thank me later.

Go buy another one...Or 'borrow' it from your dads truck.

anaheim_drew, tough decision. The JL is a good, proven amp. Plus it has one more channel if you would ever want/need it. However if you dont need it then why pay for it? Nice amps though
The Alpine would match all the rest of your setup, save you money, has more of a 'cool' factor, saves space, BUT, being a newer product it hasnt really been proven for reliabilty and such.
I think either one is a good choise though, Id probably go with the Alpine just for something different...never had any experience with one either so it would be something new to test out.
