P.I.E Aux Adaptor shuts off

My fellow truckers,
I'm frustrated with my PIE RCA adaptor. I have a 2004 Lariat and the Head Unit has the "AUX" button on it to which I connected a P.I.E. adaptor to play my iPod. However, everytime the Headlights go off, I loose Aux Audio. I checked the power and that wasn't the problem. Any ideas?

Sounds like you may have tapped into the illumination lead instead of constant 12v.
