Did I get luck or what?

i just installed my new HU. I have an 06 f150 SCrew that had the single plain cd with sat. it bothered when the manual said you could go to the next preset with the seek button on the streering wheel and it didnt work. went and fussed with the dealer to find out it was a misprint and only on the 06.

well i wanted the 6 disc mp3. i got one on ebay off an 07 for $149 shipped. well i got the old one out to find out the antenna changed. put it back in and went to circuit city to get the adapter. get home and try again. well the mounting brakets are off by 1/4 in. the radio will stick out 1/4 more than the old one. looked at the brakets on the old one, rivoted on the 06, screwed on the 07. so i decided to install anyway and was going to ford to try to get brakets for an 06 to put on later.

hooked it up, man what a difference.......sounded better: more treb and bass, more features: rds, line input, mp3 worked great.

when i put the surround back one, it stopped at the radio and doesnt look bad at all....so scratch the 06 brakets

best for last..............the seek on the steering wheel WORKS like it should in the manual.........am i lucky or what
