Just FYI - I have a 2006 Ford F150 Supercrew. A PIE FRD04-AUX should work just fine with this year/make/model however, when I plugged my device into the auxilary port, the device would play for about 5 seconds and then switch back to the radio returning a "DVD Error" in the head unit's display.
After much head scratching, my installer (Car Toys in Houston, Texas - Robert Garza, 832.912.6600) worked with PIE tech support and found out Ford had installed a 2007 radio in my brand new 2006 F150 from the factory!
PIE Tech Support said a new firmware chip was needed for the FRD04-AUX to make this work. They are shipping it to us to replace the firmware chip originally in the FRD04-AUX.
(Apparently, later model '06 F150s might have '07 radios installed in them at the Ford factory.)
UPDATE 11/05/06 -- The new chip made it work perfectly!
