I have a 2006 Supercrew but the Ford factory actually installed a 2007 factory head unit (6CD w/ mp3) in it. (Apparently, some later production run '06 F150s actually have '07 head units in them. Mine is a 6CD w/ mp3 but no RES- Rear Entertainment System, no Sirrius satellite and non-audiophile - no amp/subwoofer.)
When I press the Menu button, one of the menu items is "FES". Apparently this FES menu item stands for Family Entertainment System and has three settings:
FES Local - where the letter "R" is on the head unit's display
FES Full - where the letter "R" now appears with a box around it
FES Locked - where the letter "R" now appears with a lock symbol around it.
What is this option and what do the three different settings do?
Thanks,
Robert
