Q's about the IVA-W200

Can you bypass the video lock w/out the PAC interface?
Anyone have a pic of the rear of the unit?
Anyone have some of the downloaded eq & crossover settings from the iPersonalize site or can recommend settings?

1. I'm not sure...but it's the easiest way.
2. I don't sorry.
3. This is going to be dependant on your install, components, using the H701, active or passive xovers, etc. I don't use the iPersonalize site.

does it have audio & video rca inputs in the rear for the aux source, or do you have to buy another adapter?

IIRC, it has one aux a/v in and out. You can also get VPE-S431 for video expansion.

Go to this ebay auction http://cgi.ebay.com/ALPINE-IVA-W200-...QQcmdZViewItem under the picture of the head unit click where it says other pictures then scroll down, there's a good picture of the back of the unit.

As far as the ipersonalize goes, Alpine told me the only thing you can use it for is to download backgrounds. You can't do any settings for this unti with ipersonalize.

I'm told you can bypass the video without the PAC TR7, but for $25 its fast and easy and has worked flawless for me.

Yeh, I too, was kinda disappointed when they told me it was really of no use for the W200. Anyway, the unit is great, I'm sure you'll love it. Get some pics when you get it installed.

Get the H701...you wont need it (ipersonalize) for your settings.

I got the camers from kawamall.com it's the 120degree color camera thats like $40. It works pretty good. Im happy with it. And yes, that video input is a dedicated camera input.

BRY...knock it off...I want the 701 in the worst way, but I just dont want to part with the money right now..

ipod video

Anyone with ipod inputs; do they let you play video from the ipod video unit? if so, will it only play it in the native resolution or does it take up the whole screen (like you can when playing it on a computer monitor?) thanks

can't play directly through the headunit.. what i did was hooked up an ipod a/v cable to the aux in and routed it to my glove box.. that way if i have a video i want to watch from my ipod, i can watch it on the headunit, but it requires unplugging the ipod connector cable and then controlling the ipod manually. from there you can select three different video formats (i assume, correct me if i'm wrong, haven't played with the video that much yet).. so far the unit is sweeeet
