Question 2006 head unit problem ????

Ok PLEASE give me a nice easy solution to my problem. Here's what happened:

I was connecting my old XM Commander to my wifes 2006 Lariat. Since I had already connected a hands free kit I knew where a hot and keyed circuit was on the radio harness. So I connected my XM Commander to the same points as her hands free kit. Initial test run everything worked just fine. But I forgot to run the control cable through the ashtray. So I disconnected it from the XM receiver and ran it through the ash tray. When I went to turn it on it didn't work . So I got my trusty meter out and checked for voltage at the connector. Has sufficient voltage at both pins. So I double checked everthing else. Still no work. So I rechecked for voltage atthe connector. When I did I must have taped into both power pins cause I heard a pop and now the Radio won't turn on. I hoped it was just a fuse. But I checked all fuses that connect to the radio and all were ok. I then realized that the constant line still had voltage but the other line didn't. I know know this line is an OUTPUT from the radio to the accessory delay relay. So I'm guessing that something inside my radio blew since there is no voltage coming from the head unit. The clock still works. And if I press the cd eject button it say NO CD. I can also hear the CD player reset itself when I connected power.

So here's the 64K question. Is there some internal fuse or breaker that may prevent my radio from working and no voltage being sent out on the acc delay relay circuit ??? Or is my head unit shot

As a follow up. If it is shot can I replace my single cd player with a CD-6 changer model as a direct replacement???

No one has any clues??? I actually got a new headunit and still have the same problem. Checked all the obvious fuses and relays. Still no joy on my radio. So anyone have a clue as to where else to look ???
