Convert '06 XL Radio Only to CD Player(Single or 6 Disk)

Does anyone know if the radio wiring harness is the same across all 2006 F-150's? I will more than likely want to put in a stock cassette, single CD, or 6 disk in. I once had a Focus with a tape deck and tried to put in the OEM upgraded MP3/CD player. It had a differnet wiring harness. I would rather not cut the harness if I can...

Not sure about the XLs...I know 99-03 they were all the same, not sure of anything in the 04-07s. Pull yours out and look at the plugs...then go to ebay. Most radios for sale on ebay have pictures of the backside of the radios.

I don't know for sure about the 06, but I would imagine they are the same as the 05. If that is the case, all the stock head units are interchangable. I replaced my 05 XL am/fm head unit with a single disc head unit, then I upgraded to an Audiophile head unit.

Hope this helps.
