Double din in an 01'

Anyone put one in a 01 styled setup?Im lookin to put in a Jensen VM9021TS and was wondering if it'll fit ok..

I'm not positive, but I think the 97-03 body style uses a 1.5 DIN unit. The 04+ is a double DIN. It might fit, but it may require some cutting. I think another member put one in his loder model truck if I remember correctly. Maybe a search will turn something up.

I just put the Kenwood DPX-701 in my 2001. There is some cutting involved but it is easy.

Any pics? And what needed cutting? If there is a way,I definitely have the will.Also,what did you hold the unit in place w/.

I used the sleeve and bolts through the plastic, sleeve, and into radio.
I have no pics but you will see if you pull your stocker out and look up.
If you do not use the sleeve you may not need to cut as much as I did but it depends on the radio you are installing. I can still put my stock radio back in and no one would know.
