Kenwood DPX701 Where to buy?

Where is the best place to pick one up at a decent deal?

I have a harness adapter and an install kit already.

thanks

Stealth,

On that Kenwood, do you know if the dials are flat with the deck or do they stick out. I looked on their site and it is very hard to tell if they are flat. If they are, it would be a great deck to get.

I don't know. I don't have one. Just have been looking at them since it's free to window shop.

The dials do stick out. After installing it I'd say that it looks pretty good but not super high tech or anything. I will say that the sound quality between the factory head unit and the DPX701 is astounding.

I bought mine at sonic electronix for $309 with free shipping and it came with the wiring harness but not the mounting kit. I bought the mounting kit for $20. They claim they include the mounting kit but it didn't come with it. When I called they said thier supplier doesn't carry the mounting kit for my truck. Unlikely story.

Anyway it is still by far the best deal that I found.

Statgator,

It sounds like you got a great deal on that deck. I was looking around on some sites and I think the cheapest I found it was $449.99 or so. That's too bad that the dials stick out. I still have not seen a side view of it to see how far they stick out. If they do not stick out like the old school dials, I may consider it. Anyway, thanks for the information.

this is where i ordered mine from.

http://www.salectronics.com/catalog....mf&MFG=Kenwood

Ordered over the weekend and got an email with tracking number that it shipped Monday.

shipping was 18 and change so 301 delivered. I had a harness and dash kit, not sure my dash kit will work it is only a single din. I see the dremel tool helping withnthis problem.

shtrdave,

Right on. I'm going to have (which ever one I decide on) installed at the shop. I have installed in the past but I would rather have someone else deal with the headaches and if they make any mistakes etc, they are responsiable for the repairs (which I hope never happens). Anyway, thanks.

Thank you for the photos

There isn't ISO connector ?

The cable at right (in black) is an USB plug?

Can you take more photos when you will install it? (I want to see if the LCD of 701 is very better than 501. (for displaying ID3 infos, navigation in folders, ...)

Sorry for my worse english

Ok. Thanks.
The power for sub is the blue cable?
ISO is the standart connector for connecting speakers, alimentation.
