Ok...I'm a little unclear on what had to be trimmed in order for the W200 to fit? I have an 02' Lightning and I plan on installing this unit. Do you have to modify the INSTALL KIT? or do you have to modify the stock DASH trim?

Cutting up the install kit doesn't bother me...but I have sanded/painted dash trim pieces and I'd rather not cut those up.

Hey Rim Czar

hey man I have the same unit in a 2001 f150 but i was wondering where you got that peice of black plastic surround that you used to install it flush i like that one better than mine and it fills in all the gaps. Also i had to cut out a lot of stuff in the dash to get it in but not he fron plate. im guessing you had to trim the top part so that you could get a flush mount like that right?

The black surround piece came with the IVA-W200 head unit. You have to trim the top plate and the cut some of the dash.

You have to trim the stock Dash trim. I didn't have to trim the install kit that came with the head unit. I used a dremel tool to cut the stock dash trim panel and trimmed inside the area where the stock head unit was installed.
