JL Audio Cleansweep. A Must??

I have a 2004 regular cab f-150. I plan on installing a JL 300/4 amp and JL Component speakers in the front only. I was wondering first of all if the F-150 is even compadable with the cleansweep because i've heard fords cross over the speaker signals and the signals aren't full-range. If this is true the cleansweep wont work. Second of all do i even need one. I've heard factory head units are no good. Thats why i figured i needed one because i wanna keep the factory look.

I have a JL Cleansweep and a JL 450/4 and it worked great. Really does sound like a quality aftermarket deck.

The cleansweep went in the dash behind the stock deck. you could fit a small child in there, lol.

And I put that amp, and my 500/1 behind the rear bench on the back wall. In the supercab and screw models there is a TON of room back there.

In a regular cab it's different, but I am sure you could mount it on the back wall somewhere. MAYBE under a seat?

I do not know because I didn't do that installation type. If it physically fits, I doubt it will overheat unless a lot of the surface area is physically being pushed on buy something thick.

Go test fit it and see

id recommend against both the cleansweep and 4 channel in a regular cab

a headunit will offer greater fingertip control, the cleansweep is an excellent product but is very expensive. have you considered doubledin video for a factory appearance?

rear fill is not really necessary in a regular cab, i have nothing in the rears and my staging is great. just run some big power to good components in front, with an SQL woofer in rear

If I ever used a factory HU again (doubtfull lol) then I would definatley get the CleanSweep to try to get some better SQ out of the stocker.

i wanna keep the stock head unit. And the 300/4 fits perfectly between the rails of the seat. It doesn't look like there will be an over heating problem. Also the 4 channels are for JL XR650-CSi components up front and a 12" JL Sub behind my seat.
