Smart Harness

Hello All,

Have you ever heard of a smart harness that attaches directly to the factory clip and then directly into my new radio without having to splice cables?

I called Best Buy and they thought I was nuts.

Metra makes some harnesses that plug into the headunit and then another one that will plug into the factory plug. they then plug into each other so you don't ahve to splice them together. i have two of them in my f-150 for my jvc kd-ar870.

I went to metra and all they had were harnesses that had wires on one end and plugs on there other. Are you saying that you have to splice and wire the two harnesses together?

Anyone else have any ideas?

Thanks

Tom

go to circuit city's website and then to the car audio section. there is a section of wiring harnesses and stereo harness. these are plug and play. they will plug into the stereo, then to the second harness which then plugs into the factory plug.

Actually I see now how the harness that they shipped me with my radio works. Thanks.

I'm going to post a question about it in a second.
