AUX input on Factory deck

I am currently upgrading my stereo in my 04 f-150 . I have a lariat with the factory 6-disc but not audiophile. Planning on keeping the factory deck and upgrade everything else.

What I wanted to know is if there is a way to utilize the AUX input function on the deck to hook-up say an i-pod or maybe XM. Haven't looked at the deck itself, but have looked at some pictures, and doesn't look like this is possible. just curios if anyone knows a way to use ths button, or if their may be a wiring harness adaptor that could be used.

Any help would be appreciated.

Check out this site -- http://members.cox.net/quickconnect/donotcut.html
-- I'm going to hook up a parrot bluetooth phone interface but it looks like they have what you are looking for also. I ordered the interface and had it immediately with traking numbers all along the way--good vendor.

No RCA hookups. There is a plug for the Sub harness.
You can add RCA jacks to speaker level outputs for very little money, but Ford still does not include low level outputs.

I'm not sure, but aren't you essentially talking about using a P.I.E. adapter?

That's what I understood was needed. I ordered mine yesterday from Crutchfield.....kinda pricey but the service is always good. Anyone have an opinion on level of difficulty to install?

They're easy. If it's truly a PIE, it will be a box with an OEM in line connector (meaning it has a male and female so as to not break existing OEM connections) on one end and RCA outputs on the other. The box is pretty big though. It usually works well to simply secure it to the bottom of the OEM head unit.

Plug n Play.
