Swapping OEM units

Hello all I realize this must be one of the more common questions asked but it has been a while since I checked into this. I have an 05 Lariat model which I am going to swap the single cd player for the 6 player. What is the safest way to get the face plate off without any damage so I can do this. I tried pulling a bit but looks like the A/C controls start coming up also. No bolts or screws are visible Any help is greatly appreciated.

there shouldn't be any bolts or screws, it's held in with clips, I recommend gently pull on trim piece and take it one clip at a time.

gently force it!

all you have to do is open the ashtray, and grab a hold of the center section and pull. don't be scared to pull, the top ones are a bit tricky, just remember they come straight out. don't force it up. good luck.
