Question JVC KD-HDR1 with iPod Adapter

I am going to install a JVC KD-HDR1 unit, along with the JVC iPod adapter in my '99 Supercab.

Any suggestions WHERE is should mount the iPod adapter?
Any general installation advice?

I will be replacing the factory single-CD head unit and keeping the factory speakers.

Thanks,
Houston Kid

I do not know what year truck you have but, if it is a newer 04 and up, there is tons of room behind and below the head unit.
