I don't have Sirius. I bought it for the Ipod hookup. It works really sweet. I drilled a hole in the back of the pocket under the radio and ran the cable for the Ipod through it so I can dock my Ipod and have it sitting in the pocket. I used the new dash kit that Crutchfield sent. The radio sits back a little from being flush. On the other dash kit I got from them with my old radio, the radio stuck out a little. They need to make one in between.
Pics later on today after work.

thanks...now i need to know if i have the sirius alpine tuner, will the song and artist appear on the screen like that. i was told that the sirius tuner only allows one line of text and only 16 characters. it kind of installs farther back instead of flush...is there anyway to fix that?

Looks like the same dash kit. I used the trim piece around the rqdio that came with the radio. The dash kit came with the one you see in the pics you posted. Either one will work. The only thing is, the radio sits back a little so it might not look right to some. If you wanted to get creative you could probably shim it out to make it more flush. I'd like to see more of an angled pic of the one you posted to see how flush it is.

i really need to see how the 9857's display is with sirius radio. i was told that if you buy the SIRIUS SIR-ALP1 tuner that it only show one line of scrolling text, even though the 9857 is capable of displaying 2 lines of text. someone post pics please..

Here's a link to the owners manual from Alpine's website. Check it out and see if it tells you what you're looking for.

I shimmed my radio out so it fits flush. Have to get some pics tomorrow.

Infinity components in the doors. Forget what 5x8s I put in the back. 8" Rockford sub. Front speakers and sub run off of Rockford Fosgate Punch P4004 amp. Rear speakers run off of head unit.
