hookup help

I'm hooking up a pioneer HU in my 05 f-150. I have a light orange wire with a white stripe coming out of the deck. Can anyone tell me what that is (no instructions, and its not labeled)??
Out of the aftermarket wiring harness is a dark orange wire w/ white stripe that is labeled dimmer. Then there another orange wire w/ black stripe.
If they are the same, do I spice the ground into the black main ground wire? Help is appreciated.

Nevermind: I hooked up the dimmer wire to the intsruments wire and left the ground wire alone. Everything seems to work fine. Radio dims when I flip the lights on. Guess I didnt need the ground wire.
