Factory radio question

I am wanting to hook up an amp to my factory head unit and i just bought an adaptor to do so, according to the very vague instructions you just wire the adaptor into the left and right side speakers and then you plug your rca wires into the adaptor, I was wondering if someone had a wiring diagram for the radio harnesses so i know which wires to tap this adaptor into, any help would be greatly appreciated, by the way the truck is a 01 screw with the factory 6 disc changer
