need help please

Hi I was wondering if anyone caould help me with my head unit.

I have some wires that pulled out of the back of the plug and i dont know where they go?

I have a pioneer DEH-P3000 head unit and need to know the wires that go into what plug spots.

If anyone can send me something telling me where they get plugged back into that would be very nice.

Also if anyone can send me something so that I know how to hook it up in my truck i would like that to so I know what wire is what.

The wiring harness is the one that can=me with the stereo when bought it new so all the help would be nice.

Searching right now for pics of the harness on the net. Just do a search for Pioneer cd player harnesses or something. If I find some I'll post up. Other than that Pioneers website requires you to register to view their manuals, which I may end up doing.

As far as the wiring, did you buy a wiring harness? You won't need to cut into any of the stock wires if you buy/bought one.
Also what year/model of truck?

Edit: just registered for Pioneer since I assume you are wanting to put the deck in asap............

No I did not buy a wiring harness. It is going into a 86 toyota pickup wires are already cut for it due to husbands old cd player. and ty so much for the help.

www.the12volt.com is a great place to find vehicle wiring information, for free (just have to register), as well as goo dsupport through the forum there.

Looking for the wiring diagram for the back of the stereo. I was trying to unplug it and pulled wires out of the back of the plug to the stereo. Thanks for the truck diagram and wiring info though

Yea I know what you are talking about, just hard to find a good picture of the harness.
Only thing I can think of is if the power, ground, and ign. wires are still connected, connect those to the truck wiring, and the speaker wires for one speaker, and "jam" them into a couple slots in the harness and fade/balance until you find out which is which.

I couldn't find a manual for your unit in particular, but the Pioneer site did have the DEH 3100P model. I assume it just has some additonal features and the wiring is the same. Take a look at the pdf and that should give you some idea of what to work with.

As best I can tell pioneer is pretty consistent about their wiring colors. Depending on how many wires your harness has this is their color scheme:
Yellow - constant 12V
Red - switchable 12V (ignition or accessory switch)
Black - ground
Orange/White - lighting switch
Blue/White - power antenna or amp remote wire
White - Front left +
White/Black - Front left -
Gray - Front right +
Gray/Black - Front right -
Green - Rear left +
Green/Black - Rear left -
Purple - Rear right +
Purple/Black - Rear right -

This should fix you right up. http://www.installer.com/wires/pioneerwire.html Find picture that matches your plastic plug and the pinouts are listed below. I think you probably have the P16C.
So the wiring would be:
