Stock Audiophile has poor FM reception.

Has anyone else had problems with FM reception on the audiophile head unit?
When listening to the radio while driving the volume goes up and down speakers cut on and off periodically, this is with speed control turned off. When driving under overpasses, next to big buildings, or even down roads lined with trees the "ST" light blinks on and off. When I talk about roads with big trees, this is still within the city of Dallas. The reception is poor even on local FM stations. When I get about 60 miles out of the metroplex the stations get so fuzzy that the radio cuts off after a few seconds. I have taken it to the service department three times, and all three times they have replaced the head unit. This is the fourth head unit to have this problem. The CD player works fine, all the speakers are clear and the volume is constant. I asked them if they would replace the antenna and the antenna cable and they said the can't just go replacing parts. Go figure.

Thanks

Mine was so bad that when you puhed the 'seek' button, it would never lock on to any station. AM radio was even worse. I have no idea why.

The Sound Quality of my audiophile sucks when playing an FM station, but CD's are fine. but the overall reception is good I would say. I traveled across this country twice now in the truck and have really no complaints. I am sorry to hear that you are having such troubles.

Audiophile

My guess is there might be something wrong with your antenna, or??? My audiophile has awesome reception on FM. I live just north of DFW and I frequently pick up stations in Ardmore OK very well.
