steering wheel controls for aftermarket radio and usb port still in progress. ran into problems with both. seeking solution on steering wheel issue, new double usb port in route...

however, under tailgate led 60" light installed. prior to installation i touched that portion of the truck up with plasti-dip, as it was really beat up from past work. looks sweet now.

 

cluster color change complete, maybe...

replaced 2 small turn signal bulbs and 6 other back lit bulbs. left all the seat belt, cruise control, 4x4, abs, door open, etc, etc, etc... alone. they are their original colors.

the blue turn signals show up very well. the fuel and temp gauges show up well also. speedometer is cyan colored, and is usable. tach is usable but dim. alternator gauge and oil gauge are almost un-readable. not sure what is up on this part of the cluster. the 80 km mark on the speedo is extra bright. the leds are longer than the bulbs, so that is probably why it glows brighter. odometer and computer info is a little dimmer...

Yes, they are 1.5" Bora's. One of the best you can buy from my understanding. Took almost a month from time of ordering to delivery.

wonder if its legal to drive with them on? probably not, since i like them.

state police pulled me over two days ago and gave me a warning about the GTS light covers. No more driving with those. Thought day times would be cool. Was ok with the city poopoo and the county, but the state did not like it.

i did find out the blue'd out grille is illegal to DRIVE with. It will be wired to a switch so I can turn it on/off.

dang, what was i smoking when i wired the three wires, lol !!!

 

a little update:
- hood being painted (very slowly, lol)

- still playing with the instrument cluster

- sunroof leak seems to be fixed. must've been the A pillar drain hose. last rain was 1/2" and the floor remained dry

still looking for a used tonneau cover (PTM)

bilstein shocks, nitto tires, fender flares coming in the future when these coopers start to come to their end of life.

Today I added some XTune smoked black led tail lights...

i am also painting some smoked 11th Gen headlights black on the inside.
