HD wheel fitment ques...

Posted this in the Wheel, Tires and Brakes.
Maybe someone can advise me on this thread.

Help needed with 2003 HD wheel fitment...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

been lurking for awhile here and lots of good people and info so I'm a new member to this fine forum.

I'm interested in a set of 2003 HD wheels for my 1999 Lariat 4x2.
The 03 HD wheels have the 14mm studs and my 99 Lariat has 12mm studs.

What must I do if possible for the 03 HD wheels to fit onto my 99 Lariat?
I know that 2mm isn't that much but want to be safe about the fitment.

Thanks in advance

Just use your existing lug nuts. They'll be covered by the center caps anyway.

shouldnt be a big deal, just make sure the wheel centers correctly on the hub before you put the lug nuts on.

the lug nuts clamp sideways on the rim, but it needs to be centered and secure on the hub to be as safe as factory. (shouldnt be a big deal)

I'm located in Southern FL. Why do you ask?

I've seen your gallery pics and my 99' Lariat will look something like yours does with the HD wheels.
I have the Lightning lights on all four corners and for the third brake light also. I've added the lower fog lights/valance too.
Mine is Black w/gold two tone paint.

Looking real good!

thanks, I wanted of set of boyd coddington smoothie II's and my wife bought the HD wheels to match our '03

if you were close I'd let you try my lariat wheels for fitment before oyu boaught a set

the lariat is making 9psi and it rides on a full lightning suspension (inlcuding rear sway bar)

I want to add some harley head lights and corners, with tinted tails and a lightning third brake light, cut the running boards down some so the look like the harley running boards and finish off the setup with a lightning lower front valance
