Need a vin # from an 2008 to look up power fold mirror wiring.

I am trying to determine if the power fold mirrors available as an option on models FX4's and up (options 54K and 54E) would be able to be adapted on my XLT.

The guys at Tasca Ford need a vin # from a truck (like a new Harley) with power fold mirrors (not telescoping) so that they can compare the wiring harness with my XLT.

Can anyone help me with this?

just drive to your local dealer and walk the lot.....find a lariat, king ranch, limited or harley...or yes fx4 lux with power fold mirrors...pull the vin off the window sticker...i think you might be hard pressed to have someone send their vin out online...or better yet go to www.fordvehicles.com then search dealer inventory....they will show window sticker online...you will not have to go anywhere....

The dealer is over an hour away. I tried calling, but they said they were too busy. But it sounded more like - go take a hike.

I wasn't sure if vin #'s were a big deal. As you point out they are in public view and available in county records and so on.

I will look at the Ford site as you suggest.
