New Truck possibility. Just don't know which way to do it

Listening to all of you guys and the types of vehicles you run around in for daily drivers makes me think that one of these days I'm going to have to break down and stop driving little beaters as my every day ride!
It may may happen to me by default -- I'm a little worried that I have put so many miles on the Cavalier for business this year that the boss will force me into a company truck. Right now that would mean a new extended cab Chevy.
Hoping it doesn't happen though -- with a month to go in 2016 I have already cleared (net after fuel and repairs) over $10,000 of mileage reimbursement. That kind of "mad money" every year makes driving a little beater like the Cavalier a lot easier to take!

I think just as with anything else, there are different opinions and mindsets. To me, I'm at a point where I rather be happy and comfortable regardless of how far or where I'm driving. I also have crazy high insurance costs (with a max 43% discount), so the base costs of having a second beater or multiple vehicles makes it prohibitive. There is no way a cost of a beater will offset any resale or cost savings of my main vehicles.
My Dad has always had multiple vehicles (6 on the road as of today), but for the most part they are cheaper rides that need repairs often. I ended up giving him my F350 a couple of years ago and he can't believe that he has had to do nothing other than oil changes and fuel filters. Now I will say though, I did a ton of work to it before hand.
Anyhow, I think as long as you are happy with your choices, nobody else is paying for them.

It's not a must have but a want! , I'm not 100 percent sure I'm going to pull the trigger yet. I just know I'm going to keep the 13. next desicison is what trim level to go for on the new truck, stick with xlt (sport) with the 20's or move up to a Lariat. I bet the new XLT 302a package is probably well enough equipped to make me happy

I haven't seen a '17 F-150 yet but did see a '17 F-250 that looked great. Wifes brother has a '16 F-150 Lariat Ecoboost and he loves it. Over 20K miles on it already! Probably only giving 4 to 5K off on the '17's when they first hit the lots.

I looked at a 17 Platnium f250 and couldn't believe the options on it. It even has a button on the dash for tailgate release. Massageing seats and alot more crazy features. Sticker was 76k!
