Name the best hubcaps
Ok folks here's the deal, my GF has taken on the task of decorating my house and making it more "homey". So far she has done a great job of keeping it looking like a man lives there and not some emasculated, metrosexual girly boy. One of the things we talked about doing was using old hubcaps to decorate the walls. Now I'm looking for 3-4 of the best looking hubcaps. I know I want one from an old Porsche of the 356, early 911 vintage. I'm partial to VW, Audi, Porsche and Ford so something from those brands would be my first choices. Throw out a few good looking caps. I want something interesting and unique ideas.

My favorite Ford hubcaps are either from the '57 Thunderbird (wheel cover) or the mid-60's Country Squire wagons (wheel cover).
My favorite GM hubcaps are either from the '55 Chevy (wheel cover) or the early-70's C-10 pickups (hub cap).
Now if only I could get my wife to agree to hanging automobile parts on the walls of our home.....

Growing up my ol' man worked as a body man. He kept a bunch of the old bent emblems for me. They have been siting in a box for the last 30 years or so collecting dust, till now. We're going to use a bunch of them to make a wall hanging for the house.

If you were around during the late 50' and early 60's, the hubcap that was prime was the 1957 Dodge Lancer spinner. Hard to find, harder to keep on the car. Folks had a tendency to steal them. Another hubcap that was popular and I had a set on my 34 Ford coupe, were the 1957 Plymouth cone style hubcaps. They were just a smooth cone.
