It depends on the dealer and the truck. If you are buying a 2012 out of dealer stock now, you should be able to beat X-plan easily. The dealer here has over 30 of them in stock and the 2013's are starting to show up.

You can beat x plan. If you are ordering just email around until a dealer wants to deal.

did you not negotiate before ordering the truck?

go sign up for that aviation thing, it's like $50 IIRC and you have to wait 30 days to buy but you get x plan. If you just ordered you probably have atleast a month.

Last time I did that, I emailed every dealership within 70 miles except one (the one I planned to use the x-plan at). If I recall correctly I emailed seven or eight dealers. I received two or three replies. One's best price was sticker. The others replied two months later and I had already ordered my truck. Hopefully it works better for someone else who tries that approach.

I just did some research because I'm a Ford stockholder and am contemplating ordering a new car. As of June, they have tightened it up.

X-Plan

Partner Recognition:

An eligible Partner Recognition employee or retiree may generate up to two (2) PINs per calendar year to be used towards the purchase/lease of a new vehicle for them or members of their households as noted below (see PIN Generation for details):
*Employees (full time, part-time and contract), retirees and spouses of eligible Partner companies (suppliers, fleets, etc.) and members of specific organizations or groups.
*Residents of the same household as listed above(driver’s license required for proof of residency).
*Participation is by invitation only as determined by Ford Motor Company. Not all suppliers, fleets, etc. are eligible.

3. PROOF OF ELIGIBILITY

*For employees of eligible partner companies, you must provide a recent pay stub, company I.D., W-2 or company healthcare card. All are acceptable items to verify employment. (Note: business cards will not be accepted as proof of employment). The dealership must list the company or organization's name on the AXZD-Plan Pricing Agreement.
*For residents in the same household as the eligible employee/retiree, driver’s licenses’ will be required for proof of residence.
*For membership-based partner companies, you must provide a membership card that indicates a 60-day minimum membership.
This means that nobody here can just "hook you up" any more. It's now just "families", not "friends and families".

You are also eligible for 1 pin a year if you have held at least 100 shares of Ford stock for at least 6 months.

I also found out exactly how X-plan is calculated.

It's invoice MINUS 0.4% of invoice, plus a $275 administration fee. You can calculate invoice at Edmunds, but that won't include FDAF/LMDA (regional advertising fee) or fuel charges. Those will be itemized on the actual invoice and the dealer won't waive them, he has to pay that directly to Ford. The dealer is limited to a doc fee of $100 or state legal maximum, whichever is lower.

GLC--X-plan is also offered to Ford employees to give to their friends or family. The part you posted is for partner companies, not Ford. Partner company employees can only generate PINs as stipulated above. The OP can still be hooked up if a Ford employee decides to give them one of their x-plan PINs.

I bought my '10 XLT in Feb, '10 and it saved me a little north of 7,000$us with the X plan.

No incetives were offered at the time.

For some reason I recieved an invoice which states what the dealer pays for options, and what the x-plan price is for the same option.

Example:

My (unofficial) invoice states for the pick-up box access step, the dealer pays $350, the x-plan price is $270.

Rearview Camera, Dealer: $450, x-plan: $374.

Sync, Dealer: $395, x-plan: $328

Keyless entry pad, Dealer: $75, x-plan: $62

So it would seem the more options you get, the better deal you get with the x-plan.

I ended up with all the options that were available for an XLT except the Sony sound system.

I used X plan to get both my 07 King Ranch and the wifes 12 Explorer. Could I have negotiated a better deal? Sure, but this makes it a fair price for both I think..... By the way, I got both pins from members on here
