That explains a lot.

'They' think we can't handle the truth.

About terrorism. About the economy.

Maybe next time we won't hear about it at all.

dlenkwich I think you misunderstood Bucky's post.
Here's my best attempt at paraphrasing what he said:

He's sick & tired of Americans constantly suffering casualties because of a bunch of terrorist fks and one of the reasons for this is because the left & right can't agree on the resolution, so people die in the meantime.

He's not saying American's are the only ones who lost people.

Personally things like this sadden me deeply because there's not much of a difference between Canada and America, and I value them like a good brother and good neighbor.

My thoughts are with all of you during this tragic time.

Habs.

I served my country in Vietnam for many years and have the scars to prove it, so don't tell me **** about getting my own head out of the sand dude. You seem to take offense at my post and that tells me your just one of the idiots that allows this **** to continue daily. Feeling some guilt myman??? I think you are.... Let it go....

it's a military base... he took out 12 and wounded 30... out of those 42, and more that ran or what not... not one person had a gun, or a good enough shot to eliminate the 1-2-or 3 (i've heard all different stories) shooters?

this has me dumbfounded... how could they not drop them after the first few shots, were the armored up or what... this story doesn't add up to me

From what I've heard on the radio, there was only 1 shooter. Two others were detained at the time, but they got released.

The shooter was apparently taken down by a SWAT team from a local PD, and one of the dead was a police officer called to the scene.

....We are trained nowadays to Eliminate/Terminate the threat ASAP! Such as an active shooter in a School/University/Public setting!!! We train for this senario several times a year since I cover a local University! No more waiting around for SWAT teams! I am totally amazed that nobody took out this ARSE after the 1st bullet was fired by him!.......I am amazed by the lack of "Training" especially in a Military setting!.....This crap needs to stop!!!

"Federal law enforcement officials say the suspected Fort Hood, Texas, shooter had come to their attention at least six months ago because of Internet postings that discussed suicide bombings and other threats."

"...an official investigation was not opened."

Fox had someone on via phone that worked with him in DC. He was a Muslim convert who had called on Muslims to "rise up" against the military.

He obviously was distraught at the fact of going to the middle east and killing other Muslims.

He should've been given an honorable and sent home. He had made more than 1 of these comments to other military personnel over the past 6 months.

Makes me sick too, but it would've been better than having this guy try to "martyr" himself today. Of course, in our P.C. society, the military would probably be sued for giving him an honorable for his twisted beliefs.

...Well if that's the case then let me remind you folks that without anerica this whole world would be a very different place today!!!...

I believe it was a joint effort, How does Anerica being 1 part in a huge effort mean that without Anerica, the world would be run by German/Japanese commies?

Now, what you obviously meant to say was "I wish to remind the world that Anerica LIBERATED Iraq!"

Habibi, I'm sure that beyond his lack of grammitcal skills and sheer ignorance, he was only trying to say that the US is the world saviour, and we all owe Anerica our ass..
