x2.

It's BS to purposefully destroy 700,000 running vehicles. What a waste.

haha is it me or does it look like that was a coolant line that busted with silica coming out? did they put it in the coolant instead of the oil pan?

I thought the same thing, looked like the hose to the t-stat that let go, or the upper rad hose.

That is stupid. If someone would have been standing out there they would have been scalded. That is an injury waiting to happen.

Why don't they just drain the oil AND coolant and run it? Why the sand. Trust me without coolant and oil those engine parts will weld together.

Good points.

I'm sure the dealership has to follow government approved procedures or risk not getting paid.

My guess is some Obama campaign contributor sells the silica mixture and helped write the regulations and procedures. If they keep fluid in the radiators, they probably have to use more silica solution in the crank case. Cha Ching.

there is only one time we've had to use a jump box while running a car and that was a dead battery and a completely dead alternator. Usually you just need to jump off the car and its okay

There are a lot more pictures on the net of CforC vehicles and I was stunned at how nice a lot of them were. A beautiful Jaguar, gourgeous Cad Deville, a ton of other cars, trucks and vans that DID NOT look like clunkers! It does really make you sick when you see cars on the road that are truly clunkers, and they're destroying what the taxpayer paid good money. I don't know who's President he is but he's not mine, if he does belong to someone, take him and get the H%#L off this planet!
