Were talking about new home construction supers. Homes in developments so they are not scattered across the state. All within 3 counties and not a whole lot of jobs going on right now

Where I work, I can charge extra depending on how much I idle the truck. Sometimes I use my truck right on campus, so I can't charge them mileage, but I can charge them like a few bucks for each hour. But if I go 10 miles to the other campus, plus idle there, I can charge them not only for the mileage, but the idle time.
Remember, 1 hour of idle time is like driving ~30 miles.

for gas/wear and tear i say
the $0,50 per mile barley covers the gas you need to include oil, tranny fluid, and power steering fluid, and the wear and tear,
so what i say is $3.75 per mile would cover all that .
even taxi's don't really got that down pact in fact they charge $3.75 for meter and $2,25 for mileage
and that comes out to except for idle about $6.00 per mile
i don't even know how they pay there employee's on that?

You are spot-on with the comment that whether this rate is a "good deal" or a "bad deal" for the employee is completely dependent on the vehicle that is being used! For me, I see my mileage reimbursement as nothing more than a money making opportunity that funds my car hobby, and as such I am delighted to drive all over the State of Texas in my modest little '97 Cavalier! Every mile that goes by there is a "ka-ching" going off in my head and I start thinking about what toy I am going to buy next.....
